The world has entered a period of intense turbulence. Climate change, disease, ageing populations, technological disruptions, and the war in Ukraine – viewed by many as a turning point in the history of Europe – are all “once in a generation” events, each of which have radically changed the risk landscape introducing new risks, more risks, and different types of risk. Whilst changes stimulated by this turbulence are here to stay, the full scope of their effects remains uncertain.
