The Czech-Slovakian website will go live early in September. The European Compliance Center headed by Elina Karpacheva on the one hand and the Risk & Compliance Platform Europe headed by Michel Klompmaker are proud to announce that the existing cooperation will be further extended to the Czech Republic and Slovakia under the leadership of Dr. Branislav Hock. The two countries Czech Republic and Slovakia will be served substantively in their own language from the beginning of September. As is known, the Risk & Compliance Platform Europe has set itself the goal of providing risk and compliance professionals with unique content wherever possible in their own languages. The different language sites each have their own content that suits their own language area and national circumstances.

We are very pleased that Dr. Branislav Hock is willing to take charge of this new language site as part of the European platform. He is a Senior Lecturer in Economic Crime at the University of Portsmouth as well as the Founder of the European Compliance Center. He has also made several contributions and publications in the fields of bribery, auditing and corruption. He is the author of the book entitled Extraterritoriality and International Bribery: A Collective Action Perspective published by Routledge, which has also appeared on the English website of the platform. He additionally also published an article earlier this year on the English website about Airbus and how the UK and France learned to investigate and sanction international corruption (see related items section for the full article).

As a platform, the website is aimed at all professionals working in the field of risk and compliance, both in the financial world, at large and medium-sized companies and in the public sector. Not only do the risk and compliance managers / officers belong to our target group, but also general and business managers, who are confronted in their day-to-day work with the increased risks and increased regulatory burden from both national and international government agencies and supervisors. It goes without saying that the articles on the Risk & Compliance Platform Europe are also of interest to regulators, accountants, controllers, auditors and lawyers.
