The preparations for the launch of the Italian version of the Risk & Compliance Platform Europe website are well underway. This month, our European platform will also be available in Italian on Monday 30th January. Italy ranks as number 5 in the G8 (the wealthiest countries in the world), number 7 economically in the world in terms of Gross National Product and, we should certainly not forget that Italy, together with the Benelux countries France and West-Germany, was one of the six countries that founded the EEC, the European Economic Community (Common Market), the predecessor of the EU.
The content of the Italian website will be provided by Ingrid Gacci. Ingrid is an Italian working at the Amsterdam branch of the Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Luxembourg as Head of Accounting & Operations. Ingrid has already provided content for several publications, including Valutazione e controllo (Evaluation and monitoring), for example, by contributing articles about “a practical approach for structuring Compliance and AML activities in the banking industry in the context of integrity, ethics and culture” and “IFRS and recent developments in the application of IFRS 9.” (ISBN 978-88-917-0823-6). Her other contributions include: Sistemi bancari e competenze a confronto (Comparison of banking systems and related competencies), Apple iBooks Store, 2015, i.e. “Dutch and Italian case studies. Current digital edition based on a study held in 2001″ (former first edition), ISBN 978-90-823922-0-3. Ingrid graduated from the Università degli Studi di Firenze with a degree in Political Science and Government. Her final dissertation focused on Banking Organization: “The organization and management in the banking industry”.
